Garden of Eden...found
So I've failed to mention how amazing I think Italy really truly is. As soon as I got here I knew that I found the Garden of Eden. The landscape is breath-taking, not to mention the fact that it's spring here and the fruit trees are already producing fruit. The people are incredible, on our first day here we were about to run through the city when a random man stopped us and told us that we were doing it all wrong, he directed us to the most beautiful park that I've ever run through...and I've run through a few in my days. The architecture is unrivaled. I thought that Paris was incredible, but it's got nothing on buildings that date BEFORE CHRIST. And the food...oh the food. Enough said.
I must tell you about yesterday. Geoff and I toured Vatican City and saw a million cool things...until I saw the mother of all cool things. We finished with St. Peter's and we were about to leave, I was wearing new boots and my feet were officially nubs. But then we saw a free exhibit on the history of the Bible. Now you might think "How interesting can that be?" But then when you see Bibles and Torah's that have survived MILLENIA, and Nazi occupation, and then some of the first Geneva Bibles, it'll blow your mind. I saw a stone, the same size I imagine the 10 commandment's to be written on, that had parts of the Torah written on it, carbon dated to a century before Christ. The scripture that survived prophesized Christ's coming and that He would rise 3 days after His death. Coincidence? I think not.
